Meet Our Team - Our employees are the greatest!!! Several have attended WCC where they have received training in the Horticulture field. They are Dustin Morris, Debbie Appleby, Terrell Heatherly, Janette 'Cookie' Walker, Stacy Samples, and Lane Dudley.

Dustin Morris, Head Grower
His dad began selling produce and flowers  at the “little store under the bridge” when Dustin was a young boy. His experience in this business cannot be surpassed.  We are so fortunate to just be able to learn from him.  He is an encyclopedia of information when it comes to plants and the operation of the business. He is constantly studying the latest in pest and disease control as well as growing techniques.

Terrell Heatherly, Assistant Head Grower, Pond Specialist, Landscaping Technician
He completed the Horticulture program at Wilkes Community College after which he began working part time at Midtown Market.  Terrell works alongside Dustin as his assistant.  He has also completed the Pond College and is an experienced Landscaping Team Member.

Our "Dream come true..." - Michelle and Donna began their greenhouse hobby interest 6 years ago working to operate a 2800 square foot greenhouse while they maintained other jobs.  “It has been a dream come true for us.  We love what we do.  We want to share our passion with our customers so that gardening may enrich their lives as it has ours."

We strive to provide unique, inspiring, ideas to share with our customers and encourage  them to experiment with creativity in their own gardens whatever size they may be.  We realize that HE is the maker and provides the canvas for us to create our own havens using HIS tools.   This business is a blessing and we treasure the friendships we have made and appreciate the support of our customers.

The Retail greenhouse and growing facilities  consist of approximately 35,000 sq ft of growing space and a Pottery Shed, and Nursery for trees and shrubs. The business is primarily retail with only a few wholesale customers who have been buying from the business for years.

History of Midtown Market - Midtown  Garden Market (previously known as Midtown Market or “the flower store under the bridge”  has been in existence as a flower store for 20 years.  Tom Morris was the original owner of the operation.  Beginning as a little flower and produce store, he expanded the business.  “We take great pride in knowing that we stepped into a business with such a wonderful reputation.  The quality of the plants sold here has been exceptional from the beginning as we are told by locals who have frequented the business for years.”
